This week I was directing a series of videos for the rockstars of hair, IGK Hair, and Sephora. The crew and I had a blast working with the guys and their team. I’m excited to work for the post and editing work with so much fantastic content we created together. Thank you to Picture Ray Studio in NYC, one of the best.
I sat down with Photoshelter to talk more about the project–its challenges, surprises and adventures we had in the 5 countries we worked in. Check out: http://blog.photoshelter.com/2016/08/gina-levay-traveled-the-world-to-photograph-first-time-olympians/
I was grateful to have worked with these fierce 8 athletes from around the world for ESPN W. Their dedication, discipline and rigor are inspiring. I just got back from Flint, Michigan, where I was documenting and interviewing the families there during this horrible tragedy and injustice. I hope the FBI will now bring some answers and justice to the residentse, like Darlene and her son Jeffrey. The shoot was for People Magazine, and the video I shot can be seen here: <http://www.people.com/article/outcome-lead-poisoning-flint-michigan-water-crisis>
